Meet The Band
The Story of how The JumpJetz were formed....
In the Beginning....
The Nucleus of the band began in the Spring of 2006. Christian and Chris met through mutual friends.
They found a connection, other than being musicians, a friendship was born with a great idea.
Their idea was to find quality musicians to form an outstanding Rock, Pop and Blues band.

Christian Everett - JumpJetz Lead Guitarist & Plucking Legend
He has a certain flair with the guitar that many musicians dream of having. Blessed with a great natural
ability and feel for the song he is playing, although he will say years of work made him the way he is, you
just cannot be but amazed at his ability to play the guitar in a number of styles. If you come to watch the band,
watch how quickly he switches from playing full balls out solo's with his pick to bringing the mood right back
with the most amazing fret work and finger picking.

Chris Burgess - JumpJetz Drummer & General Animal!!!!
A left hander playing a right handed drum kit, how does that work I hear you ask yourself. Well remarkably well is
the answer. Shades of Keith Moon are represented in his very entertaining drumming style. At a gig you will see a
soft toy in the form of 'Animal' from the Muppets strapped to his Kit and its no surprise..... this lad can rock! Able
to rock the house down with thunderous fills or subtle brush work on some of the slower songs makes this drummer
stand out from the crowd. His drum solo at the end of a set makes the roof pop off any venue.

The Story continues......
An ad was placed in some of the local website-based musician seeks musician forums and shortly after a rather large fella with a big voice turned up at the studio on a much smaller motorbike than was feasible (don't worry this has now changed, the bike got bigger!).

Karl Reid - JumpJetz Singer Extraordinaire
Bigger than life with a big voice to match.... No its not Meatloaf, although some think he is the illegitimate
offspring! This man has a powerful voice, able to cross many octaves, you can feel his passion and workrate when
he sings. Always giving 100% effort, and pulling the faces to match! Luckily, he's not too bad at playing rhythm
guitar, and he has a guitar collection to match which he gets to have the odd go at playing every gig. Big man +
loads of effort = knackered at the end of gig. Failing that, he could always enter a gurning competition instead!

.....into the home straight....
All the band needed was a bassist.....
"A bassist, a bassist, my kingdom for a Bassist!" (a quote from King Richard III, by William "Rock" Shakespeare, ok I know it was a horse, but who the hell
plays horses anymore anyway?!). Karl stepped in on bass duties for a short while when the search was on,
luckily Karl is crap at bass and in walked the messiah! No its not Brian, he's been a very naughty boy!
It was .......
'J'!
J Hayward - JumpJetz Bassist & Slap Master
Some say he's "The Stig" from Top Gear, all we know is he's called 'J'. This man is full of licks. You may have
heard of the classic scenario that a bassist can make the sound of an orchestra, well this is true with this man.
Happy to pump away on a basic bass root note formation, but never happier then when he can lick and fill his bass
track with the most intricate melodies, it a great mix to see him thumb, flick, finger and fondle his bass all in
time to the drums.
